The pages that are pulled by browser request are generated through a database using an ADO database connection with SQL table language versus "static" web pages that you may have to hand written". 1. After authentication by login, an authorized data entry person entering the administration area of the site can manipulate or configure news. It could be done by department section, date, expiration, news caption, name of the editor and date, thus giving each editor that's authorized a virtual news update capability. Administration Sections The Administration sections of the website are straightforward. They feature standard options where a user can log in by password for updating the newspaper database. 1. Upon login authentication, authorized employees have an online listing of events, as well as the ability to post and update various news articles. 2. In the administration area, authorized employees have full control of most aspects of the news editing and configuration via browser online. " As webmaster and senior developer of a 3 person team, created CallandPost.com using Microsoft technologies such as ASP, and SQL for the database. The CallandPost.com news website is a Content Management System that is driven by a RDMS. Upon authentication, editors have the ability to add and edit content, add classifieds on demand, and check users through the use of a web interface backend. Upon registration, users online may now read news stories, search news archives, search the black history section, post their own thoughts at the forum. There is also a tool that enables users to look at community events as well as add their own event. All graphics created by David A.
